About Me

Maria Victoria Tellez Alvarez, RN, BSN, MBA, MSN, PMHNP-BC, pursuing her FNP is a Board-Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and the founder of Elevate Integrative Wellness LLC. With extensive experience in mental health since 2018, she provides advanced, individualized psychiatric care for patients of all ages, focused on evidence-based solutions that drive long-term wellness.

Her professional background includes serving in a leadership role at South Florida State Hospital, where she oversaw complex psychiatric operations and guided multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality patient outcomes. She also brings valuable experience from Jackson Health Systems and Mount Sinai Medical Center, managing diverse mental health and neuropsychiatric cases across Behavioral Health and Neurology Stepdown departments. This unique blend of expertise enables her to approach treatment holistically, integrating the latest clinical advancements with compassionate, patient-centered care.

In addition to her clinical practice, Ms. Tellez Alvarez holds an MBA, equipping her with advanced skills in healthcare operations and strategic practice management to ensure Elevate Integrative Wellness is built on a foundation of efficiency, accessibility, and long-term sustainability. She is also an Adjunct Professor at Rasmussen University, actively contributing to the education and development of future nursing professionals.

A member of the National Society of Leadership and Success (NSLS) and the Neuroscience Education Institute, she is committed to continuous learning and clinical excellence. Her commitment to community service is exemplified by her extensive volunteer work, including providing critical support during Hurricane Irma relief efforts, collaborating with the Hialeah Salvation Army to serve vulnerable populations, contributing over 150 hours to Jackson Health System, and preparing detailed case notes used for determination of treatment in the children’s mental health court in Dade County. In recognition of her unwavering dedication to serving vulnerable populations, she was honored with the President’s Volunteer Service Award in 2019.
